Round Corner Brewing have claimed an impressive seven medals at the 2023 European Beer Challenge in London, with its Steeplechase Pale Ale picking up a double gold in the American Style Pale Ale category

The brewery based in Melton Mowbray entered seven of its beers into the awards, showcasing the wide range of styles and quality they have on offer. It was testament to the breweries’ pursuit of perfection that all seven beers medaled.

The most prestigious medal the brewery claimed was with its already highly awarded Steeplechase Pale Ale. Winning double gold in the American Style Pale Ale category, this now sits alongside its World’s Best Ale & Gold medal at the 2021 International Brewing Awards.

Round Corner Brewing’s Head Brewer and Co-Founder, Colin Paige said: “We’re delighted to win seven medals at this year’s European Beer Challenge. For us this reinforces what we already knew, that we have a phenomenal brewing team who make exceptional beers.
“As soon as the news came in, I let the whole team know how proud of them I am, with this achievement being no small feat. It’s the ultimate validation for us to win at these awards, where we’re up against some incredible breweries from all over Europe.
“For Steeplechase to win a double gold, it backs up the already impressive awards it has to its name, such as Champion Ale at the International Brewing Awards, where we were the first brewery outside of America to win the award in 17 years.
“With each beer being judged blindly, seven medals is a phenomenal haul, with it being all about the quality of the liquid. This is something we should pat ourselves on the back for and celebrate over a beer this evening. It really validates all the hard work the team put in day in, day out”
